This first quote immediately brought back many happy memories I have had in my life so far.  What this saying means to me is basically be fortunate and happy that something happened to you. For instance the death of a loved one, be happy that you got to meet them and be significant in their life like they were in yours.

This second quote is basically what happiness is about. Happiness is something that even in bad times you can find something to cheer you up and make you think positive. But the quote in deeper thinking means that you have to find happiness about something in yourself, no medicine, no help from family, no money it is all about how YOU feel.
